Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah was born on 11 May 1963 in Bihar and enrolled as an advocate in September 1991. He served as Standing Counsel and Government Advocate for the State of Bihar before his elevation to the Patna High Court on 20 June 2011.
He has served on three different High Courts — Patna, Andhra Pradesh, and Patna again — before his Supreme Court appointment on 6 February 2023.
His work at the Supreme Court has centred on constitutional law, service law, and criminal matters.
