Justice Augustine George Masih was born on 12 March 1963 in Ropar, Punjab, and enrolled at the Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana on 6 June 1987. He practised constitutional, service, labour, and civil law, serving in various government law roles including as Additional, Deputy, and Assistant Advocate General for Punjab.
He was elevated as Additional Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court on 10 July 2008 and served as Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court briefly before his Supreme Court elevation on 9 November 2023.
His docket covers criminal matters, direct taxation, customs, and service law.
