Justice Satish Chandra Sharma was born on 30 November 1961 in Bhopal. He graduated with three gold medals in law from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University and became one of the youngest Senior Advocates at the Madhya Pradesh High Court at age 42.
He held Chief Justice positions in Telangana (2021–2022) and the Delhi High Court (2022–2023) before his Supreme Court elevation on 9 November 2023.
His work covers constitutional, civil, and criminal law. Recent rulings directed enforcement of manual scavenger rehabilitation guidelines and held that Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan violated disability rights by denying PwD job reservations.
